The role of Regional Director is interesting and challenging. Having been a member of QI Papakura for over 20 years, it is a privilege to liaise with our 6 New Zealand Clubs and QI Ba in Fiji as our Quotarians work together to support the aims of Quota International.
I bring to this role my Quota experience as President, Secretary, Director of various Committees, Convenor of major fund raising events and involvement with evaluating applications for scholarships for Masters of Audiology students and also the Quota NZ Educational Scholarship.
Professionally, I have a Bachelor of Science degree, Teaching qualifications (over 20 years at both secondary and tertiary levels) and a Master of Management in Organisational Performance.
I have travelled overseas extensively and seen situations in many developing countries that make me feel committed to doing what we can to ‘create sound beginnings’ for children and families, both here and with our Quota projects internationally.
My theme of ‘Communicating- Caring – Contributing’ is central to how I see our Region 21 functioning and developing so that we can best serve the communities in which we live.
