CENTENNIAL LUNCH

Thank you everyone who came to the lunch which was a very enjoyable occasion. It was great to see past members catching up with their Quota friends. Dame Wendy Pye, the first New Zealand President in 1972, was an inspiring guest speaker.

23rd February, Quota International of Ba, Fiji is holding their 100 year celebration.

I attended Quota International of Rotorua’s centennial dinner. It was a very enjoyable evening with many past members there too. 

CLUB CHANGEOVERS

3 Region 21 clubs have their AGM’s this month and are having the changeover of officers in the next few days.

Quota International of Opotiki is having an afternoon tea on the 23rd to acknowledge the 2018 Board and welcome the new officers. Congratulations to President Libby for a very successful year.

Quota International of Papakura is having their changeover dinner on the 25th. Congratulations President Denise for another successful year. Both of your communities have been given generous donations. My best wishes for 2019.

I look forward to hearing when the other Region 21 clubs will be holding their changeovers.

REGION 21 MEETING

My apology you haven’t received the registration form yet but it should be ready to send out next week. Meanwhile here are some details.

When: 17th – 19th May

Where: Princes Gate Hotel, Rotorua.

Registration: $55 (includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, photo)

Friday night mix and mingle and registration: $22.50, cash bar.

Saturday dinner: $50 (includes entertainment).

Cash bar Saturday programme: 8.30am – 4.45pm

Sunday: Presidents’ meeting 7.30 – 8.30, coffee/tea provided

Sunday Brunch: optional Princes Gate accommodation: $150 twin per room per night (say you are attending the meeting) I will attach the provisional programme with the registration form. I ask you to seriously consider coming to the Regional meeting. VP Jan will have updates from Quota International and there will be a discussion opportunity for you to have you say on the future of Quota.

Regional meetings this year will very important for all members. 

From Executive Director Nancy “Feedback collected at 2019 regional meetings will be used to assist the Board of Directors in its development of a more cost-effective structure for Quota that better meets member needs. That structure will be presented to the membership after the Board of Director’s December 2019 Board Meeting.”
